Natalya Lapteva

I studied painting during the final years of the Soviet Union, at a time when everything was changing — inside and out. In the late 90s, I sold my first works, then gradually moved into graphic design. For a long time, I left painting behind.

It wasn’t until I moved to Spain that something stirred again. Surrounded by Mediterranean colors, food, and stillness, I rediscovered my love for painting. Grapes, wine, olives, sweets — these small, tactile pleasures became the heart of my still lifes. Through them, I try to capture warmth, memory, and a quiet sense of joy.
